The first barrel of wine of this year’s harvest has traditionally been uncorked in the city center, at the intersection of Augustine Voloshin and Korzo streets. The event was accompanied by knight fights and fire show. The holiday of the young wine "Transcarpathian Beaujolais" in Uzhgorod is taking place for the eighteenth time, the date is also traditional – the third weekend of November, it coincides with the holiday "Beaujolais" in France, the tradition of which dates back to the XIX century. Recall that during three days Uzhgorod residents and guests of the city will be expected at the festival in the "Owl’s Nest": there, in wine cellars, the best wine-makers of the region will be presenting their products. Tomorrow, the photo zone will open, bands "Rock-H", "Antsya", "Chalamada", other performers will entertain the guests. The festival will last until Sunday, November 18th.
