Within the framework of the program of cross-border cooperation between Ukraine and Romania, Transcarpathia has prepared projects at almost 16 million euros

The selection of grant projects under the Joint Operational Program "Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020" is ongoing. Those are the contest of HARD project proposals (with infrastructure component) with a total financial support of € 19.1 million and the contest of SOFT project proposals (without infrastructure component or with infrastructure component for less than € 1 million) for a total financial support of € 17 millions.
Within the set time, Transcarpathia submitted three HARD project proposals for more than 8.2 million euros and 19 SOFT projects for more than 7.6 million euros.
The submitted project applications concern the development of transport and information and communication technologies, support for the development of the health care system and the improvement of access to services, prevention of and fight against organized crime, institutional cooperation in the field of education, preservation and maintenance of cultural-historical heritage, measures to prevent environmental pollution, etc.
In general, about a quarter of the project proposals submitted by Ukraine were prepared by Transcarpathian region. More than 60 organizations participated in the preparation of submissions.
