A man tried to cross the border with his mother’s passport

Last night, at the checkpoint "Luzhanka", border guards of the Mukachevo detachment stopped a man who, while crossing the border, presented for control somebody else’s travel passport. The 25-year-old Ukrainian explained the border guards that in a hurry he had mistakenly taken his mother’s passport.

Since the man committed an offense under Part 1 of Article 204 of the CAO "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine", a report on administrative offense was drawn up. The case was sent to court.

For the committed offense, our compatriot may be brought to administrative liability in the form of a fine in the amount of 1,700 to 3,400 hryvnias or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
