On November 6, at 17:00, in the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library, Professor of UzhNU, Serhiy Fedaka will present his two new history books – "We, Fedir Koryatovych, by the grace of God Prince of Munkacs…" and "History of Ukraine in Dates and Events".
The first research is devoted to Fedir Koryatovych – one of the most interesting and at the same time most mythologized figures of Transcarpathian Middle Ages. The essay published by the "Karpaty" Publishing House shows a real historical figure in the context of his era, and at the same time, reveals the causes and means of creation of a historical myth around the particular person.
"History of Ukraine in Dates and Events" was published recently by the "Ukrainsky Priorytet" Publishing House. The guide contains 5,000 dates of national history, covering virtually all significant events that have taken place in the territory of Ukraine, starting from the appearance of the most ancient man (1 million years ago) and until April 2018 inclusive. Facts of economic, political, diplomatic, military, church, cultural history are presented. Particular attention is paid to the primordial era, the Khmelnytsky times, the ruin, the liberation struggle of 1917-1921, the Holodomor of 1932-1933, the Revolution of Dignity, and the modern post-revolutionary era.
