Illegal migrants, presumably from India, were detained in Uzhgorod

Four foreigners, who were trying to illegally cross the border near the village of Huta in Uzhgorod district, were detained in the evening by the border guards of the Chop detachment.

The offenders were detained after they had already overcome the fence. The detainees, presumably Indian citizens, explained that in this way they tried to reach European countries in search of a better luck.

In order to clarify the circumstances of the offense and bring them to administrative responsibility, the illegal migrants were taken to a temporary detention center of the Chop border guard detachment. After identification they will be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of article 204-1 of the CAO "Illegal crossing or attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine", – the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informs.
