A unique record for Ukraine was set in Mukachevo (PHOTOS)

On October 20, wooden board breaking record of Ukraine was set in Mukachevo. The record holder is Igor Kapura, the director of the Mukachevo Sport Club "Triumph".

"This is a unique record, since no one in Ukraine has done it. We hope that everything will go well and the record will be registered," – Pavlo Horishevsky, representative of the Ukrainian record registry, said.

The head of the Federation of Kyokushinkai karate of Transcarpathian region, master of sports of Ukraine, Kyokushinkai karate coach, holder of the 3rd dan black belt Igor Kapura was going to this record for almost 7 years. At first, it was supposed to be a push-up record, but, having reached 1000, Igor stopped and decided to switch to karate. The training lasted only 2 months, because the record holder keeps himself in a very good shape. 

"I plan to apply for the Guinness World Records in 2020. The details of the record will be revealed in due time," – the record holder said.

After the traditional greetings, he was preparing for the record for a few minutes. The main requirement was to break as many boards as possible in 5 minutes.

With the support of guests and pupils, Igor Kapura set the record of Ukraine with the result of 163 broken boards.
