It was reported that yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment together with other law enforcement officers detained two groups of illegal migrants and a trafficker.
Today, the Transcarpathian police department for human trafficking reports: they shut down an illegal migrant trafficking channel.
On October 17, in the village of Domashyn, Velyky Berezny district, the Transcarpathian police together with other law-enforcement officers detained a car with illegal migrants and their trafficker. The foreigners aged 16, 22, 26 and 40 were caught in the course of a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Art. 332 of the CCU, that is, the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine. Such an offense is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. The 20-year-old resident of Transcarpathian region is suspected of unlawful actions and the establishment of a channel for illegal migration. His three accomplices tried to run from law enforcement officers, but they have been identified.
In addition, during the special operation, the Transcarpathian police department for human trafficking detained another group of illegal migrants. Two men without documents were caught when they were trying to cross the state border.
Three people are wanted, the 20-year-old resident of Velyky Berezny was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the CCP of Ukraine. In addition, two cars were detained: "Volkswagen Passat B5" and "Chevrolet Lacetti". The four illegal migrants were handed over to the Chop border guard detachment.
