“Art Statement of of Eduard Prykhodko” (PHOTO-REPORT)

This is the title of the exhibition, which opened on September 14 in the Transcarpathian Regional Art Museum in Uzhgorod, which will last until September 30. It is a report, a dialogue with Uzhgorod artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Eduard Prikhodko.

The event was opened by the director of the museum Francisk Erfan. Honored artist of Ukraine Vladislav Gabda said: "I know what it is to grow in the family of artists (Eduard is the son of People’s Artist of Ukraine Vyacheslav Prykhodko (1940 – 2011) and art historian, an employee of the art museum Olena Prykhodko – author). On the one hand it’s cool, on the other hand it’s hard. But Edik is holding on. He denies himself (rejects everything), he is going his own way. Always searching."

In turn, the head of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, People’s Artist of Ukraine Borys Kuzma noted that the art of Eduard Prykhodko is modern, and that the artist thinks in his own categories, moving forward. "The artist has a picture featuring keys. So I want to say that he has already picked the key to his own way in art. I deliberately made this parallel. Edik is progressing", – B. Kuzma added.
