Uzhgorod City Council has been working on implementing the "Safe City" project for a long time. More than fifty surveillance cameras have already been connected to a single network. Yesterday there was a presentation of the system that could be used for further project implementation: in the small hall of the Uzhgorod City Council, representatives of Kyiv company Kobi Security Systems offered their services.
Representatives of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region were present in the hall. The General Director Oleksiy Vykhristyuk showed the advantages of modern equipment with various functions – convenient and simple work with the archive of video data, databases of the National Police (Armor, Information Search Service).
"Safe City" is an analytical data processing system. Similar systems are in place in several regions of Ukraine, in particular, this company implemented the "Safe City" projects in Rivne and Chernihiv regions. The algorithm of modern surveillance cameras was presented at the meeting. In particular, they talked about robotic cameras with functions of autotracking, detection of fires and crowds of people.
Kobi Security Systems gave Uzhgorod two surveillance cameras with the car license plate recording function for free. The equipment installed on two streets of the regional center of Transcarpathia is working in test mode. The draft of the relevant Program has already been submitted to the Uzhgorod City Council for consideration.
