In Uzhgorod, rare items from the collection of People’s Artist of Ukraine and Armenia Serhiy Paradzhanov were presented at the exhibition "Impression of the Touch".
They also showed things from the private collection that belonged to the filmmaker, – the Gazeta.ua informs.
At the opening in the historical and cultural complex "Owl’s Nest", Karen Enokyan, the head of the Association of Armenian Culture of Transcarpathia "Ararat" noted that Paradzhanov was a man who created a completely new genre for his era – a film-song.
Uzhgorod city mayor Bohdan Andriyiv reminded that well-known Polish director Andrzej Wajda kneeled and kissed Paradzhanov’s hand to thank him for the world-famous masterpiece "Shadows of forgotten ancestors".
Olena Ohanesyan, the head of the Armenian Association of Cultural Relations AOKS-Ukraine, said that the exhibition is international, since the items presented there have been collected from all over the world.
Olena Ohanesyan presented for the Uzhgorod library a disc with the fim "Night in the Museum of Paradzhanov" from director Roman Balayan.
The exhibition "Impression of the Touch" in the "Owl’s Nest" will run until September 30th.
