In Transcarpathia, the owner of a cow killed a shepherd, who was poorly looking after his cattle

Law enforcers notified a 58-year-old resident of the village of Cherne in Vynogradiv district that he is suspected of committing a crime. The man is suspected of inflicting a fellow villager injuries that caused his death. 

Vynogradiv police received the report on beating of a 38-year-old man on Friday, September 7. Law enforcers found out that a 38-year-old man, while grazing cows, failed to look after the cattle, which dispersed in different, which later caused a conflict between him and a 58-year-old fellow villager – the owner of one of the cows. On the same day, the 38-year-old man was taken to the local hospital with a head injury.

The other man denied inflicting injuries to the victim.
According to him, he only pushed the 38-year-old which made him fall and get hurt.

In order to clarify all the circumstances of the conflict, the investigator opened a criminal proceeding under Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On Saturday, September 8, the victim died at the hospital. 

In this regard, the police changed the classification of the case from inflicting bodily injuries of moderate severety to deliberate grave bodily harm, which caused the victim’s death, that is, Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 

As of now, the 58-year-old suspect has been detained.
