Unidentified people threw an explosive device into the yard of Chop residents

Officers of the Uzhgorod district police department began an investigation into the use of an explosive device in the yard of Chop residents. Nobody was injured as a result of the explosion. The investigative team is working at the scene, appropriate examinations have been arranged for.

Yesterday, at about 7 o’clock in the morning, the police received a call from a 61-year-old resident of Chop, in Uzhgorod. According to the applicant, at around 4 o’clock in the morning, an unknown person threw an explosive device into her yard. As a result of the explosion, the window and part of the facade were damaged. Nobody was injured as a result of the explosion.

The investigative team is working at the scene. The remnants of the explosive object were sent for examination. Preliminary legal classification is Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Intentional destruction or damage to property). The investigation continues.
