Without too much fanfare and officialism: the First Bell rang in most of Uzhgorod schools (PHOTOS)

Today, the First Bell rang in most of Uzhgorod schools. Short line-ups up to 20 minutes, in some schools only for pupils of the first, fifth and final grades, flashmobs with students and teachers, quests, city tours, fairy-tale characters – this is the format of this year’s celebration of the Day of Knowledge in the regional center of Transcarpathia. In some schools, the new academic year will begin on Monday, September 3.

This year, 1825 pupils were enrolled to the first grades in Uzhgorod. In total, 15,868 students will be studying in the city schools in 2018-2019 academic year, which is 515 more than the last year, the press service of Uzhgorod city council informs.
