The energy company reported that sanctions against the Uzhgorod Vodokanal, which could result in water supply termination, have been postponed for now.
The press service of the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informed the following.
In view of the significant debt to the "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC, the energy supply company sent the MU "Vodokanal of Uzhgorod" a letter requesting to pay the outstanding debt in accordance with the current contractual terms, or if it is not possible to pay the debt due to lack of available funds, to reduce current electricity consumption to the level of the actual payment for electricity consumed. (In practice, it would mean the termination of electricity supply to the Vodokanal systems, that is, shutdown of water supply).
Recently, the MU "Vodokanal of Uzhgorod" informed the energy supplier about their intention to pay off part of the debt by the end of the month.
Also, under the agreement with the Mayor of Uzhgorod, Bohdan Andriyiv, a subvention for repayment of the debt to the energy supply company will be allocated from the city budget at the session of the Uzhhorod City Council.
Taking into account the agreements reached, no restrictions in the supply of energy will be applied to the MU "Vodokanal of Uzhgorod", – the energy supplier informed.
