Border guards did not allow to import into Ukraine a motorcycle “Java” made in 1990

At night, border guards of the Uzhgorod department prevented an attempt to illegally move a motorcycle to the territory of Ukraine.

During the inspection of a minibus Mercedes with Czech registration driven by our compatriot, who was entering Ukraine, the inspectors suspected illegal activities. The driver was noticeably anxious and giving confusing answers to simple questions. So, the border guards decided to carry out an in-depth inspection of the vehicle. As a result, during the border and customs inspection of the minibus, in the baggage compartment, they found among the personal belongings a motorcycle "Java" made in 1990. To hide it from control, the motorcycle was beingtransported in a disassembled state.

According to the requirements of the current legislation, the motorcycle was seized by employees of the fiscal service. The value is being established, – the press service of the Chop border guard detachment informs.
