Today, July 30, the "Great Battle of Carvers" was held on the territory of "Carving Alley" in the village of Velyky Bychkiv, Rakhiv district.To the sounds of the trembita, the participants started a grand event that lasts from July 30 to August 4. On the last day of the competition (Saturday, August 4), the final competitions and awarding of the winners will be held.
After the official part, the masters started the creative process. According to the organizers of the competition, this year, 20 participants from different parts of western Ukraine have already registered.
From July 30 to August 3, each master, using chainsaws and chisels, will be creating unique figures in the "Carving Alley", and on Saturday, August 4, the contestants will be competing with each other in the final Battle of the Carvers, where each of them will have to create a wooden figure in 4 hours.
In addition, there will be a concert program and exhibition-sale of folk crafts.
