Ecologists urge not to make fuss over the swan on the “Kirpichka”

The news that the swan on the lake in the Peremoha park was caught in fishing lines shook the social networks.

So now, they are replete with calls to help the bird and "professional advice" on what is the best way to do it. Rescuers were also called at the scene, however, they have not been able to solve the problem for now.

Thus, ecologist Oksana Stankevich-Volosyonchuk appealed to Uzhgorod residents on the page "Public Initiative Kirpichka":  

"Friends, do not try to rescue the swan on your own! Fishing lines can not really hurt the bird. The attempts to "rescue" the bird cause more harm. As a result, the swans were stressed by the "rescuers". 

Of course, we are grateful for your care, but we ask everyone to trust the ornithologists. We need to watch. Please, do not to attempt to rescue the swan by any means. Thank you for understanding!"
