Uzhgorod deputies will appeal to the Parliament about the ban on plastic bags

Today, June 26, at the session meeting, the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv asked the colleagues to support the appeal of the Uzhhorod City Council to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to resolve the issue of prohibiting the use of polyethylene bags in stores and points of sale at the legislative level.

This initiative was suggested to the Mayor by the activists of the "Happy Children" NGO, who are conducting a campaign against environment pollution.

In the appeal, they provide the figures and facts proving the danger of polyethylene.
