The film “Chendey’s Well” was awarded at the international film festival

The film of Transcarpathian director Vyacheslav Bihun "Chendey’s Well" was awarded with the special diploma at the XXII international festival of films, television and radio programs for children and young people "Golden Chicken", which ended in early June in Kyiv, the Mukachevo.today informed.

In the film, the wife of the legendary writer of the film "Shadows of forgotten ancestors" Ivan Chendey – Maria Chendey (pictured) talks with her granddaughter Olga.

Recall that "Chendey’s Well" is one of the director’s five films about Transcarpathia: "The Last Soldier" (in collaboration with O. Havrosh), "The City of Angel", "Marusya" and "I am her". Recently, the director’s script "Sacrifice" based on the story "Seagulls fly to the east" was awarded at the All-Ukrainian Ivan Chendey short prose contest.
