An 18-year-old Slovak lost his car at Transcarpathian customs because of a smuggling attempt

 Last night, on the border with Hungary, an 18-year-old citizen of Slovakia lost his car after attempting to smuggle tobacco products. The young man drove at the checkpoint "Vylok" in a car Peugeot made in 2008. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, the border guards decided to conduct an in-depth inspection of the car.  

During the inspection, the border guards, together with the fiscal service officers, found 450 packs of cigarettes of different brands under the rear and front seats, as well as in the spare wheel compartment.

    All the found cigarettes were seized according to the law. In addition to the cigarettes, the foreigner also lost his car.

    The total value of the confiscated items is more than 85 thousand hryvnia.
