A woman died as a result of the accident, in which a motorcycle collided with a car

Law enforcers are establishing the circumstances of a road accident on the outskirts of Khust. Investigation over the accident was initiated.

Yesterday, April 29, around 11:40, the police received a report of an accident with victims at the entrance to Khust. The policemen found out that a car Hyundai Accent had collided with a motorcycle Honda Gold Wing.

The police established preliminary details of the accident. The driver of the car, a 31-year-old resident of the village of Sokyrnytsia, while crossing the oncoming lane, failed to make way for the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.

As a result of the accident, a female passenger of the motorcycle – a 32-year-old resident of Uzhgorod – died on the spot, and the motorcycle driver, a 48-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region, was hospitalized with polytrauma.

Due to the injuries sustained in the accident, passengers of the car – a 28-year-old resident of the village of Sokyrnytsia and her 5-year-old daughter – were also hospitalized.

The police are now investigating the accident. The investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, violation of the traffic rules, that caused death of the victim. The investigation continues.
