Transcarpathian participants of the ATO are invited to participate in the All-Ukrainian football tournament “Invictus Cup”

On May 19, 2007, the All-Ukrainian football tournament "Invictus Cup" will take place at the "Atlet" Stadium in Kyiv.
 Veterans and active servicemen of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, as well as volunteer units, who were injured during or as a result of performance of official duties in the combat zone in the ATO, or during peacekeeping operations involving Ukraine, will take part in the competition.
The competitions will be held among the participants in two categories:
– persons with amputation of one lower limb at any level with preservation of the second limb’s functions. Players use crutches;
– persons with no injuries of lower limbs or with partial damage to lower limbs, that move without any additional means.
The purpose of the event is physical and psychological rehabilitation of war veterans and active servicemen, who received injuries during or as a result of performance of official duties in the combat zone in the ATO, or during peacekeeping operations involving Ukraine; strengthening of friendly relations and exchange of experience between sports organizations of persons with disabilities; promotion of football among veterans of war and active servicemen.
Estimated number of participants from around the country is 150 people: 15 teams for 10 people.
