Professor Mykhailo Ivanovich Syusko passed away at the age of 81

A native of Mizhhirya district Mykhailo Ivanovich studied at postgraduate study at the Department of Ukrainian Language of Uzhgorod University under the guidance of a well-known scholar Y.O. Dzendzelivsky. Subsequently, he made a way from a post-graduate student to a professor, worked as deputy dean, head of the preparatory department, and for five years was the dean of the philology faculty.

In the recent years, he has worked at the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute named after Ferenc Rakoczi II.

For his long work at the university and a significant contribution to the development of education in Transcarpathia, training scientific and pedagogical staff for the national economy prof. Syusko MI was awarded many times: in June 2000 he was awarded the title "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine", in December 2002 he was awarded the sign "Excellence in Education of Ukraine", and since October 2005 he has been honored professor of Uzhgorod National University.
