Border guards found 1,500 packs of cigarettes on the bank of the Tisa

Yesterday, in Transcarpathia, border guards of the "Velyky Bychkiv" department of the Mukachevo detachment prevent an attempt of cigarette smuggling.

During the patrolling, border guards noticed an unknown person carrying three packages wrapped in black polyethylene towards the border. The offender tried to transport 1,500 packs of tobacco products across the Tisa river, which forms the border with Romania. When he saw the approaching border guards, the man left the cigarettes and fled. 

The tobacco products have been delivered to the "Velyky Bychkiv" border guard department and will be subsequently handed over to the SFS employees.
