A thief was detained by border guards in Uzhgorod

Yesterday, border guards of the Chop detachment detained a 29-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk wanted for committing a crime.

The man tried to avoid criminal responsibility by leaving the territory of Ukraine through the checkpoint "Uzhgorod". While checking the documents of the passengers of a car "Kia", one of the passengers was found in the database of the State Border Guard Service.

According to the National Police, a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention was imposed on the man, since the convicted offender had committed another theft at the end of the last year.

After carrying out the necessary procedural steps, the offender was handed over to officers of the National Police.
