Over the last week, the number of patients with respiratory infections in the region has increased significantly

Last week (from January 12, 2001 to January 19, 2018), 2825 people turned to the health care facilities of the region for medical assistance with the symptoms of acute respiratory infections, which is 28% more than that in the previous one. According to the head of the department for epidemiological control (monitoring) of infectious diseases of the "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the MoH of Ukraine" Victoria Tymchyk, the incidence rate is 38% below the epidemic theshold. Most of the patients are children of school age and adults, aged 30-64.

The number of patients almost doubled in Perechyn, Mukachevo, Beregovo districts and in the city of Mukachevo, but the incidence rate ​​did not reach the threshold values. In other administrative territories, the situation is normal.

Outpatient treatment is prevalent, the level of hospitalization is at the level of the previous week – 5%. Most of the hospitalized persons are children under the age of 4, the circulation of seasonal agents of respiratory infections was confirmed.

Since the beginning of the season, 2180 people have been vaccinated, including 787 children and 570 health workers.
