In Transcarpathia, aa woman tried to illegally take a child abroad

Border guards of the Chop detachment did not allow a minor resident of Chernivtsi to be illegallt taken to the EU.

Thus, yesterday, a woman and her 15-year-old daughter on their way to to Italy arrived at the checkpoint "Tisa". Along with passports, the woman submitted for border control the father’s declaration of consent for the child’s going abroad certified by the Consulate of Ukraine in Milan. However, during further examination of the documents, the border guards found out that the submitted declaration was invalid because it had been obtained illegally. As it turned out, at the time of issuance of the consent, the girl’s father was in Ukraine.

Border guard guards sent to Uzhgorod Police Department in Transcarpathian region a report on possible criminal offense under Article 355 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of counterfeit documents, seals, stamps".

The mother and daughter were handed over to officers of the National Police to provide explanations and follow-up investigation.
