Transcarpathian Museum invites to the retrospective exhibition of Ivan Manailo (Announcement)

We invite you to a personal retrospective exhibition of works by Ivan Manailo (1942-2010), the opening of which will take place on January 12, 2018 at 15.00, in the Transcarpathian Regional Y.Bokshay Art Museum.
The exhibition will feature about 70 paintings and graphic works, which cover all periods of artist’s career. Many works will be exhibited for the first time. 
Ivan Manailo was born on January 16, 1942 in Uzhgorod, in the family of the artist Fedir Manailo. He received his professional education first at the Uzhgorod Art School, then at the Kyiv Art Institute. 
He worked as a teacher (1969-1985) and director of the Uzhgorod Art School (1972-1985), artist of the Transcarpathian Art Foundation, was one of the organizers and the head of the "Creative Association of Professional Artists of Transcarpathia", worked as the manager of the International Association "Interart" . 
After moving to Hungary (1998), he joined the activities of the Rusyn self-government of Hungary. In 2009, he received the state award "For Merits in Enrichment of World Art and Significant Contribution to Strengthening Rusyn-Hungarian Friendship".
As a result, the artist left a unique heritage, which is rich in brilliant artistic achievements in various types, genres, styles and techniques.
