Today, the Mayor of Uzhgorod, Bohdan Andriyiv inspected the equipment purchased this year for the maternity hospital at the expense of the city budget. The total cost of the equipment is about 7.2 million hryvnias, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council reports.
This year, at the expense of the city budget, they bought an intensive care system, a phototherapy lamp for newborns, an incubator for children. They also purchased an artificial ventilation device for adults and children.
More than a million hryvnias worth of equipment for operating rooms, and almost 2.4 million hryvnias worth if medicines and dressings for Uzhgorod maternity hospital was purchased for 11 months of this year.
The mayor also inspected the rooms where childbirths take place. He congratulated a young family on the birth of a son and forthcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
On November 27, 3445 childbirths took place in Uzhgorod maternity hospital. 3481 children were born, including 72 pairs of twins.
