The first Transcarpathian gingerbread festival has started in the "Owl’s Nest", in the center of Uzhgorod.
On this occasion, a whole sweet and spicy town was built there. Kids are excited about "almost real" bears. Also, a festive train is running in this town.
Kids are delighted, but adults like it too. After all, the gingerbread town reflects the uniqueness of Transcarpathia. There are not only gingerbread houses there, but also palaces, castles, carts with horses and even a sweet philharmonic-synagogue.
Gingerbread masters showed all their skills and their wonderful products will serve a good cause – they will be sold at a charity auction. Master classes on gingerbread painting and making of handmade festive decorations are also planned.
The festival is open until Sunday evening, on the second floor of the Owl’s Nest
