Three well-known Transcarpathians were awarded the highest state decorations

On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the confirmation of the Declaration of Independence of Ukraine by the All-Ukrainian referendum on December 1, 1991, the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, signed the Decree "On Presenting State Awards of Ukraine". The list of the recipients includes three Transcarpathians. Thus, for a significant personal contribution to the state building, socio-economic, scientific and technical, cultural and educational development of the Ukrainian state, significant labor achievements, the honorary title "Honored Worker of Ukraine" was awarded to Volodymyr Shepeta, the artistic director of the amateur folk song and dance ensemble "Lisorub" of the House of Culture of Velyky Bychkiv village in Rakhiv district. The honorary title "Honored Artist of Ukraine" was awarded to Yana Sadvariy, soloist of the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic. The honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine" was awarded to Volodymyr Sozansky, senior coach – teacher of the Transcarpathian Regional Children’s and Youth Sport School.
