As announced, yesterday in Uzhgorod, on the International Day of People with Disabilities and in support of the Medical and Social Rehabilitation Center "Way to Life", the Honored Academic Transcarpathian Folk Choir played a charity concert in the regional Philharmonic.
The "Way of Life" began its activity in October 1999 and has been caring for children and adults with special needs for 18 years now. At the beginning of its activities, the primary task of the Center was to provide comprehensive assistance to children with special needs, to give them the opportunity to gradually adapt to the society. While in 1999 there were only seven children aged 3 to 9 years, today they are taking care of more than three hundred people with physical and intellectual disabilities – from birth day to 40 years old.
Many people came to the Philharmonic to support the "Way of Life", its staff and wards, the hall was crowded. In the lobby, visitors could buy products made by children, various souvenirs: colored candles, baskets, handmade soap, decorated bottles, etc. All the proceeds will be used for the needs of the center, everyone could also just make a donation to support the institution.
The concert finished with a joint performance of the "Prayer for Ukraine".
