Today, December 1, the exhibition-contest of art works by pupils of the Uzhgorod Children’s Art School opened in the "Art Pro" Art-Cafe, the press service of the Uzhgorod City Council informs. 26 best works of the students of the fine art department, which were pre-selected out of 144, are presented in the gallery. School students, teachers, parents of children voted for the best works, the drawings were exhibited during a month in the hall of the art school.
The head of the Uzhgorod Children’s Art School Natalia Gromova thanked the children for participating in the competition, as well as all those who contributed to the organization of the exhibition. Ms. Natalia noted that having so many talented pupils and creative teachers, the school would continue to organize with such beautiful displays and they would become traditional.
The jury members, who will select the final works – member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, sculptor Vasyl Roman, Honored Artist of Ukraine Vladislav Gabda, teachers of the art school Elina Roman and Vasyl Luchka – also addressed the participants of the competition with valedictory speeches.
