The strongest fencers of Ukraine were competing in the hall of the "Unifekht" Sports and Fitness Center in Kharkiv at the 20th, jubilee, International Fencing Tournament and in memory of the Honored Coach of Ukraine Leonid Averbakh.
This tournament is also a round of the Cup of Ukraine (epee, adults).
Among women, Uzhgorod athlete Vlada Kharkova (first coach – Dmytro Petrus) won the bronze award. Uzhgorod fencer Anatoliy Herey also won bronze medal among men.
The team competitions will take place on November 28.
On weekend, in Mykolaiv, at the Children’s League competition, Transcarpathian fencer Vasyl Slovyak (coach – Oksana Rapinets) also won the bronze award.
Two more awards were won by Transcarpathians in Poland. At the International "Tarnow Cup", Maxim Prylypko won the silver medal, and Daria Sehediy won the bronze medal (both trained by Lilia Fill).
