On Saturday, November 18, Lilia Grinevich, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, is expected to visit the Transcarpathian city of Beregovo.
The Mukachevo.net received this information from several sources. In particular, Grinevich herself confirmed that she will visit Transcarpathia at the end of the week, where she plans to discuss a new law "On Education" with Hungarian and Slovak communities and possible ways of its implementation.
The meeting of the Minister of Education with the heads of educational institutions of Beregovo and the district is scheduled for 10:00 in the premises of the Beregovo district administration.
As reported, the Minister of Human Resources of Hungary Zoltan Balog appealed to Lilia Grinevich, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, with a proposal for a personal meeting to discuss the recently adopted Law "On Education" of Ukraine. He proposed that the meeting be held on September 25 at the opening of the new academic year at the Transcarpathian Hungarian Institute of Ferenc Rakoczi II in Beregovo, Transcarpathia.
However, then Lilia Grinevich did not had the time to adjust her work schedule. The Ministry reported that the letter with the proposal of the meeting had been received too late. Therefore, the minister proposed to postpone the meeting to October.
