As we reported, Uzhgorod Police Department and the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region announced a search for a fourth-grader, who had gone to school and not returned.
Yesterday, November 6, a resident of Uzhgorod reported to the police about the disappearance of her young son – Victor Svyryd. The woman told that her 10-year-old child had gone to school in the morning and never returned. The police was searching for the child the whole night, but found the boy only in the morning. He said that his mother drinks alcohol and then abuses him.
The child was hiding in the basement of one of the houses in the regional center of Transcarpathia, law enforcement officers are checking whether the family had violated the boy.
Juvenile Prevention Officers are studying all factors that could have made the child run away from home. Right now, law enforcement officers are working with the family and the psychologist at the school, where the boy was studying. The Service for Children will check the living conditions of the family. The parents will be brought to administrative responsibility, if the information provided by the boy is confirmed, the issue of his removal from the family may be consdered.
