An artist from Kharkiv became the “Silver Brush of the Carpathians”

In the courtyard of the House of Artist in the village of Synevi\yrska Polyana in Mizhhirya district, the award was finally presented to the 35-year-old artist from Kharkiv Oleksandr Kryushyn – a silver brush statuette and the original diploma of the winner of the "Silver Brush of the Carpathians" competition. This mission was performed by the members of the jury of the competition, teacher of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts Anton Kovach and the head of the Tourist Server of Transcarpathia Serhiy Kozodaev, who was the initiator of the contest.  

Recall that in the last decade of September, a plein air "Uzhok motifs. Emerald origins of Stuzhytsia" took place in the village of Stuzhytsia in Velyky Berezny district. It was attended by ten artists from Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, the Transcarpathian cities of Uzhgorod, Vynogradiv and Irshava and the village of Stavne in Velyky Berezny district. After that, the exhibition of the plein air works was presented in the atrium of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration, which was great success. 

During the event, the Department of Culture of the Regional State Administration, the Uzhok National Nature Park, the Transcarpathian Tourist Server and the "Art Society Today" Charitable Foundation decided to hold the competition "Silver Brush of the Carpathians". The professional jury, which included Transcarpathian artists and representatives of the tourism sector, reviewed all the presented works. Then, they passed the verdict – the work of the young artist from Kharkiv O. Kryushin (pictured) is the best in popularizing tourism in Transcarpathia. 

Oleksandr is a native of Kerch (Crimea). He studied graphic design at the Humanitarian Institute in Yalta. In 2010, he graduated from Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts, where he received the degree of art teacher. After that, he worked for three years at the university as a teacher of painting and composition. He has been a participant of all-Ukrainian and regional exhibitions (Odesa, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kyiv), had a few personal ones – in Kharkiv and Kyiv. In 2012, he became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Also in 2012, he received the highest award – Grand Prix – at the second international bienniale in Shanghai (China). Now, he gives private lessons – "Sunday studio" for future entrants.

By the way, the already mentioned Anton Kovach, who also was a participant of the plein air in Stuzhytsia, said: "Sasha is a real grinder. You will definitely hear more about him".
