Police officers detained an Uzhgorod citizen, who is reasonably suspected of murdering the general director of a local enterprise. The police opened a criminal proceeding.
Yesterday, the police received a report about a murder in the regional center of Transcarpathia. The investigation team at the scene found out that on the territory of a limited liability company, the director of the company had been killed in his own office.
Law enforcers found out that the 54-year-old man was killed by a 59-year-old resident of Uzhgorod. The police found out that the men were having a quarrel, during which one of them shot four times at another one, causing him to die on the spot. The suspect was arrested by patrol policemen at the crime scene. He is now in the Uzhgorod police department. Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A 7.65 mm pistol with one cartridge was found at the scene and sent for examination.
A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code, ie murder. This offense is punishable by imprisonment for seven to fifteen years. The investigation continues.
