Animal rights activists held a march for animal rights in the regional center of Transcarpathia. Small and big, shaggy and not, pedigree and picked up on the street – all kinds of animals could be seen at the event.
A disabled dog also took part in the event. Mike lost mobility due to an accident, but Mukachevo volunteers not only designed wheels for Mike, but also found a new family for him, – the "Den" informs.
Together with the masters, the dog came to the regional center of Transcarpathia, where the march for animal rights took place today.
More than a hundred activists took part in the event.
Together, they not only marched on the streets of the city, but also made an appeal to the authorities, which they plan to bring to Uzhgorod mayor’s office and the regional state administration next week.
In particular, the activists tell about the need for another shelter in Uzhgorod, because the existing one is too small.
Also, the participants of the event demand more strict punishment for those, who abuse animals, by bringing them not only to administrative, but also to criminal responsibility.
The activists also talked about the use of animals in circus performances, and the slaughter of animals for the production of furs.
