The most intriguing day for all participants – what did the organizers of the contest come up with this time, what task will they receive? Who will pose for young artists for the "Portrait" stage?
The answer was astounding: the participants of the Open Student Painting Contest "Silver Easel" had to… portray themselves! In order to ease the work, the organizers gave the young artists mirrors.
And in the afternoon, a new project was presented: ten meters of Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod was occupied by… contemporary art! A unique open air art show "10 meters of your skills" took place in the very center of the city. Its author is a young artist from Lviv Maxim Skvortsov. Within an hour, the boy painted a ten-meter-long picture on a Whatman paper. A few cans of acrylic paint and markers, some imagination and inspiration – and everything is ready. The unique event also was held within the Open Student Painting Contest "Silver Easel", which is taking place in the regional center of Transcarpathia.
The day ended with a no less significant event – a lecture by a member of the jury of the contest, a successful artist, the winner of the International Yellow Pencil Award Serhiy Svyatchenko. The master talked with the participants, gave valuable advice and inspired for the performance of the last contest task.
"Silver Easel" is striking: incredible events, outstanding personalities, a powerful atmosphere of creativity – all that is now in Uzhgorod. The most exciting youth artistic event this autumn in Ukraine continues!
