Vynodradiv district military commissar’s con at the training camp was exposed because of a soldier’s broken leg

In Transcarpathian region, a fracture of a soldier’s leg at the training camp led law enforcement officers to a con of the Vynogradiv district military commissar, the Zakarpattya.online reported.

The 368.media learned about this from the criminal proceeding number 42017070210000070 under Part 1 of Art.366 and Part 3 of Art.410 Criminal Code.

In the summer of this year, the Transcarpathian Regional Military Commissariat conducted a training for reservists, which 40 persons from Vynogradiv district were to be sent to. According to the investigation, due to the fact that a number of men refused to go to the camp, the district military commissar and the chief specialist of the draft department forged military cards, by pasting on blanks the photographs of three officers of the military commissariat and entering the personal data of other persons who were abroad at that time. The officers with the forged documents took part in the training.

The con would have gone unnoticed had one of the officers not suffered a leg fracture at the final stage of the training. He was identified at the military hospital in Mukachevo. At the moment, the investigation has seized all the necessary documents of the district military commissariat.
