On October 8, a concert of the chamber and instrumental ensemble "Hungarian Melodies" will be held within the framework of the project "Weekend Music" initiated by the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.
Although one of the oldest philharmonic groups (founded in 1948) is aimed at popularizing primarily the music of Hungarian composers and local Hungarian folklore, still the ensemble attempts to show the richness of the multicultural life of Transcarpathia. And the next concert will feature works from the best programs of the ensemble – Hungarian, Slovak, Ukrainian folk songs and dances, arias and duets from famous operettas, masterpieces of the world classical music.
Onika Nod (soprano), Istvan Khalus (tenor), Andriy Svyd (tenor, double bass), Yevhen Tsanko (accordion) and others will play and sing for the audience. Dancing pair of Adriana Torbych and Istvan Kekerchen will add a Hungarian color. The director of the ensemble is the winner of international competitions Diana Havata (cello).
