In Uzhgorod, the police caught a man who had robbed the apartment he was renting

A previously convicted resident of Uzhgorod stole two TV sets from the apartment that he was renting. The police caught the thief, criminal proceeding was initiated.

The owner of an apartment on Zakarpatska street filed a statement with Uzhgorod police. The applicant reported the theft of two TV sets and other household items. He suspected that the theft had been committed by the man who was renting the apartment. 
Officers of the city criminal police found out that the apartment had been robbed by a 33-year-old resident of the city. This man had already been prosecuted for committing thefts. 
The police started criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft). The thief had already sold the stolen items, law enforcement officers are establshing to whom. 
The choice of the pre-trial restraint against the suspect is being decided. His involvement in committing other crimes in the city is being checked.
