Yesterday, on August 29, on the Mount Temnatyk in Volovets, the police, together with rescuers and foresters, were conducting repeated search for the body of a Czech citizen, who went missing four years ago, Ondrej Dubansky.
In early January 2013, in Transcarpathia, namely in Volovets, 24-year-old citizen of the Czech Republic, Ondrej Dubansky, who had come for Christmas holidays to his acquaintances in Volovets district, went missing. Probably, the Czech tourist got lost on the Mount Temnatyk in Volovets.
The Transcarpathian police initiated criminal proceeding over the disappearance of the foreigner, but the body of the missing man still has not been found.
During this time, the mother of the man, representatives of the Czech Consulate, would come to Transcarpathia, asking the Ukrainian party to continue searching for the missing person.
And yesterday, on August 29, repeated search and rescue activities took place on the Mount Temnatyk in Volovets.
The mother of the missing man Pavlina Dubanska, the Deputy Consul General of the Czech Republic in the city of Lviv Igor Shedo and the representative of the Czech Police Lieutenant Colonel Marek Prazek also took part in the searches.
More than fifty searchers surveyed the entire territory of the mountains and nearby gorges, forest plantations, etc. The search lasted 7 hours and ended, unfortunately, without result. However, as assured by the Deputy Chief of the Investigation Department of the Transcarpathian Police Volodymyr Maha, the search for Ondrej Dubansky will continue. This case, which is investigated by an experienced investigator, police captain Roman Helzhinsky, is under the control of the leadership of the regional police department. The Ukrainian party is working closely with Czech colleagues and will make every effort to establish the truth in this mysterious case of the disappearance of the Czech tourist.
