The charity run on the occasion of the Flag Day of Ukraine will be held in Uzhgorod as part of the project "This Way We’ll Win." The purpose is to help the wounded Transcarpathians – veterans of the ATO.
Many teams representing various organizations and ordinary Uzhgorod citizens will participate. Thus, it is already known that there will be teams of patrol policemen, footballers, border guards, military personnel, and others. People in wheelchairs representing the organization "Optimist – Choice" will also participate and will show their own strength of the spirit, because they also fight every day.
The participants of the event, which can be called "Run of Winners", will be running to help two Transcarpathian soldiers. Those are Ivan Govbel and Anton Savko. Both of them need life-long treatment, and disability payments do not cover monthly expenses. That’s why each participant will be running to help them.
The co-organizer of the run is the U-Run – Uzhhorod Running Club, and they emphasize: the charity race is also held to promote healthy lifestyle and development of mass sports.
The competition is open to all persons, regardless of age, gender, and physical shape, is conducted in accordance with the rules approved by the organizers of the race, and is divided into to the following categories:
* Main run – the distance is ~ 4,2 km (2 laps);
* Charity run – the distance is ~ 2,1 km (1 lap).
Registration of participants will begin at 19:00 at the start spot.
The minimum amount of charitable contribution is 30 hryvnias per participant. The fundraising will take place at the starting point during the registration. Start and finish are at the same point. Route: from the drama theater through the transport bridge (Masaryk) along Nezalezhnist embankment, to the pedestrian bridge and back to the theater along Kyivska embankment, MAP IS HERE.
