Many teachers are leaving Transcarpathian region to work in European countries

This was stated by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal during the nationwide teleconference chaired by the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on the preparations for the new school year, which took place in the city of Dnipro, the correspondent of the Ukrinform reports.

"This year, a major migration to Eastern Europe as well as to the Western, to England has begun. Teachers from Transcarpathia are going to Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, the Czech Republic," – he said.

According to the governor, teachers are leaving for better salaries and this is a "natural desire of people".

In this regard, Moskal appealed to the head of the government and the education minister Lilia Grinevich asking to help solve the problem of a shortage of teachers in schools.

"Some schools are almost half-empty, only 2-3 teachers are left," – the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration said.
