During the meeting, it was noted that the increase in the number of people with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of the war in the East of Ukraine entails the need to improve the skills of Transcarpathian doctors in diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with these mental illnesses. These events will allow to study experience and expert assessments of German colleagues and to improve the skills of Transcarpathian medical workers.
– Today, the provision of high-quality medical services, in particular qualified, adequate psychological assistance to servicemen, who participated in the ATO in the East of Ukraine, is an important issue for Transcarpathia. The increase of the number of persons with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of military operations necessitates the training of specialists capable of conducting adequate and effective psychosocial rehabilitation for such persons, – the Chairman of the Regional Council Mykhailo Rivis said during the meeting.
