On the 29th of July, an evening uphill race "Taking the Crown" will take place as part of the two-day bicycle race "Excalibur Race 2017" in Mukachevo castle "Palanok".
During its long history, the Palanok has gained the fame of an impregnable fortress, so the race, which both professionals and amateur cyclists have the opportunity to take part in, will start at the foot of the Palanok and finish in the heart of the ancient architectural monument of the city – the middle bastion of the castle.
According to the organizers, "Taking the Crown" is a unique event not only for Mukachevo, but also for Eastern Europe. The participants will be competing for a handmade crown, forged by the best blacksmiths of the region, made of bicycle parts, which is the prototype of the crown of St. Stephen, one of the main symbols of the Hungarian statehood.
It should be noted that the Mukachevo Historical Museum is not only the venue for the competition, but also the sponsor of the event. So, we invite everyone to take part in the competition on July 29th. The registration is at 17.00, the start is at 19.00.
At the finish, there will be pleasant surprises for all the participants, and the winner will receive the main prize – the Crown.
