Hungary hopes to open the checkpoint "Nagyhodos – Velyka Palad" on the border with Ukraine in spring 2018.
This was stated by the Ambassador of Hungary in Ukraine Erno Keskeny during the round table "Hungarian factor in internal politics of Ukraine", the UNIAN reports.
"I hope that we can develop border crossing points and open several new ones. We plan to open the checkpoint "Nagyhodos – Velyka Palad" next spring," – the ambassador said.
In this regard, the diplomat stressed that after the introduction of visa-free regime with the European Union, it is important to open new crossing points, as the number of tourists is increasing.
He also admitted that on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border, the conditions are not the best.
The village of Velyka Palad, where the new crossing point will be opened, is located in Vynogradiv district of Transcarpathian region.
