The "Zakarpattyaoblenergo" PJSC informs that during the period of 22 to 28 of May, 2017, the company’s employees revealed 38 facts of electricity thefts.
In particular, 26 reports of violation were drawn up against household consumers and 12 reports – against legal entities (private entrepreneurs, companies, firms, etc.).
Most cases of illegal interference in the power grid among households over the last week were found in Tyachiv and Khust districts (6 and 5 violations respectively). Most often, people would illegally consume electricity through interference with the work of meters, breaking seals and indicators of alternating magnetic and electric fields influence and damaging meters.
In the legal sector, facts of thefts were detected in 7 districts. The most common violation is interference in the metering device by its damaging (damaged meter housing, broken glass and damaged indicator of the magnetic field), as well as damaging and removal of seals.
Also during the last week, Committees to review reports of violation imposed fines totaling UAH 247.88 thousand, of which:
among households – UAH 141.37 thousand
among legal entities – UAH 106.51 thousand.
